A fundamental element of democracy is the principle that people are free to express opinions and have equal opportunities be represented in government decision-making. People who feel they can influence political processes more likely participate civic life through voting, or by engaging with politicians parties. Active engagement politics builds stronger democratic values ensures system’s legitimacy. no voice, less comply laws regulations, engage protests such as boycotts, exit process entirely not abstaining from voting (Prats Meunier, 2021).
